Currently, 45 employers will be on-site seeking candidates for immediate career opportunities. The employer list along with free registration information and tips for a successful job fair can be found at http://www.wisconsinjobcenter.org/jobfairs/pdf/2014_Janesville2.pdf Job Seeker Pre-Registration is required for this event and must be completed in-person with Job Center staff. If you plan on registering the day of the event, please arrive early so you can complete the process. Staff will be available to assist you in the resource room starting at 8:00 am. The Rock County Job Center, 1900 Center Avenue is the site for a Job Fair on Wednesday September 17th from 10 am to 2 pm. 86 Auxiliary will be hosting a yard sale with all proceeds going to a local S.A.L. member who hadan accident back on July 5. If anyone has items to be donated please call Meghan Fenton at 807-4482. The monthly meetings are the third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post, Lewision Road in Gray. The Americanism chairman, Debra Small, at the Legion Post would like you to know that September has four special observances: Sept. 11, where we honor all those lives lost on that day in 2001. Remember all the first responders for there heroism, they were running into the building while people were trying to escape. There will be a candle vigil ceremony at the American Legion hall in Gray at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 is the 200th anniversary of the end of War of 1812, which prompted Francis Scott Key to write a special poem we all know as our National Anthem. Sept. 17 is Constitution Day. Our founding fathers completed their difficult work more than 200 years ago and it still governs our country today.
